End of winter and melting ice-caps

Scientists predict that Europe will have no more winters and the Artic will be ice free by the latter half of this century. According to the average of five climate models run by the scientists the Arctic will lose 50% to 60% of its ice distribution by 2100. One of the five models predicts that by 2070, the Artic will be so warm it will no longer have any ice in the summer. Apparently the US oil and gas industry can hardly wait, less ice in the far north of the American continent will make exploration, drilling and pumping easier. It is bad news for the ski industry however.
